How Omnihelp and Strove built Fitt to redefine member resilience

A white-label wellbeing platform powered by the weekly Edge Score.

Supporting resilience

Omnihelp set out to support wellbeing as a part of daily life. The goal was to create an experience that supports resilience through routine actions, clear feedback, and consistent follow-up.

To achieve this, Omnihelp (a collaboration between Medihelp Medical Scheme and Old Mutual Corporate) partnered with Strove to build Fitt. This white-label wellbeing platform is designed for preventive health, mental, physical, and financial fitness, and ongoing engagement. Fitt is now live, with an initial cohort onboarded and early adviser adoption underway.

The challenge

The team did not want a simple step counter with rewards. Instead, they required a platform that treats prevention as a weekly practice.

The project focused on three specific requirements:

  • Lasting engagement: The structure needed to keep members returning each week without relying on short-lived campaigns.
  • Simple measurement: Resilience needed to be easy to track. Omnihelp wanted a single view that members could understand and guidance they would actually use.
  • Scale and trust: The model required device-agnostic inputs, privacy-safe insights for organisations, and a structure that supports long-term distribution through advisers.

Why Strove

Strove offered a complete platform to host the white-label experience, backed by proven core components. This partnership provided Omnihelp with wearable integrations, content, rewards, surveys, and reporting foundations.

The product team also needed a clear organising principle. They chose the Edge Score to anchor the journey and keep the experience focused.

The Edge Score

The Edge Score is a 0-100 weekly indicator of current resilience. The score reflects a member's capacity to adapt, recover, and sustain healthy functioning. It combines four specific domains:

  1. Movement: Activity levels and sleep quality.
  2. Physical: Key health markers and risk signals.
  3. Mental: A validated wellbeing check-in and a quick stress rating.
  4. Financial: A respected financial wellbeing questionnaire translated into a practical score.

This score sets a weekly rhythm. Members follow a simple loop: track their data, check in, review the updated score, and then take the recommended next step.

Ready, set, launch!

Strove launched Fitt as a white-label Omnihelp app. While Strove built and operates the platform, the Edge Score shapes the overall experience and engagement design.

The routine is straightforward:

  • Connect a wearable or phone to track movement automatically.
  • Complete a face scan roughly once a month to keep physical markers current.
  • Answer short check-ins, including a monthly mental wellbeing survey.
  • Receive an updated Edge Score every Monday with practical guidance linked to each domain.

Fitt focuses on support rather than diagnosis. The platform works with a phone alone or with a wearable, ensuring members do not need a specific device to participate. Members also earn rewards, such as tree planting, which connects their behaviour to their personal values.

Early impact

Medihelp staff have already demonstrated high levels of consistent engagement and measurable health improvements. To date, over 9,625 hours of physical activity have been recorded, 46 million steps have been taken, and more than 4,200 meditations logged.

The impact of the integrated Nourish programme has been particularly significant. After only two months, participants achieved:

  • An average of 3.2 kg in weight loss.
  • A 4.8 cm reduction in waist circumference.
  • A 100% increase in self-rated nutrition habits.

User sentiment from the pilot survey reflects this success:

  • 92.5% said Fitt made them more aware of their general health and wellness.
  • 90% reported that Fitt motivated them to improve their wellbeing.
  • 85% rated their overall experience on the platform positively.

Member perspective

Validation often comes from the language users choose. Thembesile Mathebula, a Fitt user, described the experience in personal terms:

"Fitt to me means ‘my me time’. It’s that time to reset and reconnect with myself to be a better version of me, healthier and stronger!"

What comes next

Omnihelp now has a resilience-focused engagement layer inside its ecosystem. The Edge Score provides the consistent weekly structure needed for behaviour change.

Moving forward, the strategy focuses on three priorities:

  • Deepening adoption in initial cohorts.
  • Finalising adviser distribution agreements.
  • Expanding adviser- and employer-led roll-outs.

By translating personal data into a weekly rhythm, Fitt provides a practical way to stay aware of your health and motivated to improve it.
