Prescient was one of Strove's first clients. The programme didn't stay frozen at its launch version.

It developed through personalised challenges, a growing rewards catalogue and a digital connection to the annual Prescient Run with Merrell. That progression is the clearest way to understand the partnership.

The starting point

Prescient wanted one employee experience for movement, mental wellbeing and nutrition. It also needed to work for employees with different activity levels.

The initial rollout used internal communication and structured onboarding to activate 98% of the invited workforce. Employees could connect activity data, join challenges, use guided meditation and earn rewards.

The high activation rate gave Prescient a broad base. The next task was to keep the programme relevant after onboarding.

Personalise the campaign, not the person

Prescient began shaping challenges around its own identity and calendar. Teams could compete across offices, while challenge rules allowed people with different starting points to contribute.

This gave the organisation more control than an off-the-shelf campaign schedule. Prescient could choose the activity, timing and rewards that fitted a specific company moment.

Joanne Meyer, Head of Talent at Prescient, describes the effect:

"The app is easy to use and invites some healthy competition for our teams, whilst driving more understanding of both physical and emotional health."

Connect the annual run

The Prescient Run, held with Merrell, already had a recognised place in the company's wellbeing calendar.

Strove added dedicated run and walk options to the platform. Participants could record their event activity and earn coins through the same experience they used during the rest of the year.

That connection solved a simple problem. The live event no longer sat apart from the ongoing programme. Its participation became visible in the app, while employees who walked could join alongside runners.

What members recorded

The available platform averages include:

  • 66 active minutes per member per day
  • 7,000 steps per member per day
  • 7.1 hours of sleep per night

The step average is relevant to the wider evidence base. A 2025 systematic review in The Lancet Public Health found that higher daily step counts were associated with better outcomes across several areas of health.

The sleep average sits close to the consensus recommendation of at least seven hours for adults aged 18 to 60.

The next version should follow real company moments

Prescient's partnership shows the value of treating the platform as an evolving programme rather than a finished launch.

The annual run created the strongest point of difference because it joined a physical event to the year-round digital experience. Future development can follow the same rule: start with a Prescient moment employees already recognise, then use Strove to extend its reach and record participation.
