Omnihelp didn't want another step counter. It wanted members to see how different parts of their wellbeing were changing and know what to do next.
The result was Fitt, a white-label platform built by Strove for Omnihelp. The product sits alongside Omnihelp's combination of medical cover and financial protection from Medihelp Medical Scheme and Old Mutual Corporate.
Fitt's organising idea is the Edge Score: a weekly indicator from 0 to 100.
The Edge Score brings together four areas:
The member routine stays the same each week. Connect available data, complete the relevant check-ins, review the updated score on Monday and choose a recommended next action.
That repetition matters. A score used once becomes an assessment. A score revisited each week can become a prompt for attention and action.
Members can use a connected wearable or their phone to record movement. They can complete a smartphone-based face scan periodically to refresh selected physical estimates and answer short mental and financial check-ins.
Fitt then turns those inputs into feedback linked to the four score areas. Members can also earn rewards, including tree planting.
The Edge Score gives members a repeatable way to review all four areas and choose a next action.
Early use among Medihelp staff produced a clear set of engagement figures:
Thembesile Mathebula describes the role Fitt plays in her routine:
"Fitt to me means 'my me time'. It's that time to reset and reconnect with myself to be a better version of me, healthier and stronger!"
Two parts of the Edge Score connect to established public-health guidance.
The World Health Organization recommends regular physical activity and less sedentary time. A 2025 systematic review in The Lancet Public Health found that higher daily step counts were associated with better outcomes across several areas of health.
For sleep, a joint American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society consensus statement recommends that adults aged 18 to 60 regularly get at least seven hours.
Fitt is live with an initial cohort, while Omnihelp develops adviser and employer distribution.
The product team now has a repeatable weekly member experience and early evidence that people understood and used it. The next commercial proof will come from adoption and retention as more cohorts join through advisers and employers.
